Event HQ

1. The day

Choose which day is running. Everything else in Event HQ follows it.

Switching the day clears the live state of every category (results already recorded stay in the results log). Do it once, before doors open.

2. Contestants

Bring in the confirmed entries, draw the order, and mark anyone absent on the day. This is the one place names are edited.

3. Order and questions

Everything the category pages will show, decided before the day: the order of the contestants, each child’s ahadith and du’as, each Jannati contestant’s ten questions. On the day the category page only goes Next and Back through this.

Jannati ladders use the questions in the question bank; in live mode only approved ones. Prizes for each question are set there too.

4. Content

What each category has loaded. The corrected learning-pack texts are already in the programme; this is a check, not an editor.

In rehearsal every loaded item can be used. In live mode only items that are signed off can be used.

5. Running order

The plan for the day. Go puts a block on the screens; the green button in the Screen bar always goes to the next block.

6. Screens

The two hall laptops. Open Hall screen on each and choose Masjid screen or OBS.

7. Ceremonies

Opening ceremony and prize giving run one slide at a time. A winner takes two presses: the place, then the name.

8. Judges and PINs

Each judge scans the code for their category, enters the judge PIN and picks their seat. Jannati has no judge: the host’s tablet opens with the judge PIN, and the audience scan the phone code (also shown on the Jannati name card).

9. Results

Scores are confirmed by the head judge on the judging pages. Placings appear here, and in the prize giving, only once they are published.
